Re: Upgrade SalentOS

Hi, yesterday I had upgrade my salentos from ubuntu 14.04 to ubuntu 16.04 (a message appears if I would to upgrade to ubuntu 16.04.). It takes a long night, but salentos had made the upgrade successfully. But now, I can not use the menu. A error appears that menu can not be displayed.

Is it possible to solve this problem ? If not, can I downgrade again to ubuntu 14.04. ?

Thanks XAntares

Re: Upgrade SalentOS

No way to downgrade but you must install SalentOS 14. I don't know why you had the invite to upgrade because it is not normal. Wich error do you have when execute the menu?

Ok . try to change your schema.pl file and repalce it with mine. so paste into your schema.pl file this content

#!/usr/bin/perl

# obmenu-generator - schema file

Re: Upgrade SalentOS

thanks for this code, but it does not work in my salentos. The same error code appears even if i reboot my netbook.
A error code shows if I click right mouse button, if I try to use the menu and if I try to press alt+strg+entf key (a child process can not run failed to find file or folder). All this has a openbox error code.
Is it advisable to re-install openbox ? - If I logout salentos I can login with gnome or openbox.

Re: Upgrade SalentOS

The new SalentOS release is based now on Debian8 jessie not Ubuntu 16.04, if you want to try it, the ISO image is available on SalentOS site.
